A sad day - I used to love the films where stop motion animation sequences were mixed in with live action, e.g. Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans etc.

A few years back the band The Hoosiers did a song, 'Worried About Ray', which was meant to be about him.

A rare talent indeed, and an inspiration I am sure for many people, sculptors, modellers, animators...
