Great Idea. I have quite a few pictures/videos to post but found this unwieldly on the CGT website.

It would be so much easier on Facebook.

Ok, I will have a go at setting something up. Wish me luck, I am no Facebook expert by any means...

OK, I have something set up. I am reluctant to post the link here as no doubt all the world's spam-bots will descend upon me within seconds. Instead, I would suggest you could just do a search in f b for 'Continental Garden Trains Group' and hit the join button. I will then presumably get some sort of notification that I need to do something to approve it. I will do my very best to get these approved soon as.

To re-iterate, I am not seeking to pull people away from this forum, far from it. In fact I will take every opportunity to plug this site from the group.

Let's see how we get on!

*Edited to add: If for any reason you can't see the group on f b (maybe I messed something up Sad ) then PM me and I will post you the link by return.

A quick update on Carl: I am delighted, and not a little relieved to be able to say I have heard from him very recently. He is still around, although these days living in a place called Beaumont le Roger, Normandy. I won't divulge the full details of what he had to say about the last couple of years out of respect for his privacy; suffice it to say the old Shakespeare quote involving 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune' would be putting it mildly.

I am hoping very much that he can turn this corner and get back to doing - and sharing - his great works with live steam/diesel/jet/rocket propulsion, whatever!

I am delighted to hear that Carl has been in touch!  We've all been more than a little worried for him! If you have the opportunity, please pass on what I am sure all members would want, our best wishes and offer of help if there's anything we can do!
