Does anyone have any extra info on the stillborn OBB 2094 Class. Apparently, when putting out tenders for a new narrow gauge diesel locomotive in the late 50's, the OBB considered a mid range power output type that would be more powerful than the 2091 and 2093 types but less powerful than the 2095 types that were actually put into production (hence the gap in the class numbering system). I have seen rough outline drawings of each side of the proposed class but that is all, looking very much like a shortened V51 with 2095 type bogies (complete with siderods). It would make an interesting model, but without front, rear and overhead angles, it is a bit of a non starter. None were ever built, but a model would be a nice talking point.
Pic below shows one interpretation of the design ...

... whereas this pic (less defined) shows a more V51-esque shape with the cabs being practically identical to a V51 with less square windows.

Neither pic agrees with the other in outline, which is a bit annoying. Maybe different ideas were put forward and no hard or fast outline exists.

That's a bit of a long shot asking here Andy.

I wonder who they tendered to potentially build these and whether those manufacturer(s) produced any drawings.
Why weren't any built? Not even a prototype?

I imagine something Polish or Romanian.

I have to say I've seen some strange loco's at TSO recently in Chelles some not unlike this drawing and defo not a V51.
I've asked (and waiting) for permission to go and photograph.

From what I can translate ... the 2094 would have been built by SGP in Austria, with a V8 four stroke engine driving through a Voith hydraulic box. They would have been around 340 or 400 horsepower ... midway between the 200hp of the 2091 and 2093, and the 600hp of the 2095.
