Sort of Continental, this was not filmed in Ireland using Irish stock unfortunately, it was done in the UK.
But it all seems so "typically French".

Short of posting Monty Python's Cheese Shop sketch or a clip from Wallace & Grommit .... may I post this link that will amaze you and send you scurrying to the fridge .....
An A to Z of French cheeses .... apparently 544 types made with cows milk alone !

Nice bit of film Patrick.
Useful info Andy. The French always claim that there is one cheese for evey day in France. Now I can tell them they are wrong...There are more!
I often have Carrefour in stunned silennce when I ask on the cheese counter if they have any Cheddar in yet. Quoi....? Vous voulez quoi monsieur...un fromage anglais...ša existe? Then I get a lecture about all the beautiful and delicious cheeses that are produced here.
I live in a cheese producing area...Brie.
There are some famous Brie cheeses here, 'Coulommiers' is one.
I hate them. They have the texture of PVA glue and they stink like my old army socks after a week marching. Give me a good Cheddar please any day. That's what I miss most.
