As one of the very few Americans to model French railways in the garden, I'm pleased to join this group. I try to keep up with Voie Libre and Passions Métrique, but reading/writing French is hard work for me, so finding an English/French venue is welcome. Here's a picture from my garden:

More pictures can be found here.

cheers,
Scot O.

Hi Scot Bienvenue

Fantastic to have a French Railway enthusiast on the other side of the "pond".

Amazing to see a Corpet Louvet in an American Garden.

I would love to know a lot more about your layout and I'm sure Carl will be quizzing you for history, track plans and more photo's etc.

If there is any help or resources that those of us actually based in France can give - please ask.

Looking forward to loads more posts.

Again Welcome

Hi Scott and welcome to CGT. You probably know this but if you go to http://www.voielibre.com you can download, for free, a full english translation of the magazine.

Welcome from me too, Scot. A wonderful set of pics there on your page. Tons of character on that line, I feel... I'd love to see a track plan, though, if you have one?

I am very pleased you have joined Scott.cheers

There is a growing group of French themed garden railway modellers. But it is certainly not exclusive to that and we welcome and enjoy all types of contributions.

Scot i am exceedingly jealous of anybody who runs two Corpet Louvet's!!! there is an atmosphere in your layout that is most definately not of New England!

Thanks for the kind words of welcome, and thanks to Bearcastle for locating the trackplan. As explanation, I live in a dense urban area, and the garden is wedged into what is little more than an alley. But I've discovered that there is real pleasure in managing a small garden and small railroad. I am never overwhelmed by work, and I can enjoy doing all the track maintenance and gardening by hand.

While I don't have any more pictures of the CfR, I do have one of myself, when my wife and I spent our 25th anniversary in France, last October. Here I am on the CP in front of one Corpet-Louvet I don't own.

cheers,
Scot O.
