or Bastille day....

Big parties last night with some of the neighbours and more tonight.

Mirage jets flying low as I type.

A good day to run some trains with French flags on and drink more wine.

Lot's of firework last night and a huge one tonight at the eiffel tower in paris, next to us a big one at disney tonight.

It must be a national holiday - the French Airforce practice low level flying over our area most days - but not today. They must all be over the Champs Elysee ?

Possibly spoiling the Sarkozy "garden party"

Well he can blooming stay there...
If he comes up here we'll have to draft in more Gendarmes from somewhere.

We've only got one and he's been outside too long.

I usually celebrate quatorze julliet by running a Corpet-Louvet with the tricoleur on the beam, but we're on vacation by the sea in Rhode Island. So I watched the tour, wore my "Bastille Day" t-shirt, and we all ate moules et frites for dinner.

Bon Fête,
Scot O.

Well done Scot !

I didn't know you could get Moules and Frites in Rhode Island - I thought it was all Pancakes and Clam Chowder Shocked

And apparently the French youth were on form, they only torched 317 cars this Bastille Day, perhaps my car insurance will go down this year, (some hope)
