PostSubject: Meeting Saturday 15th August   Thu Jul 30, 2009 2:30 pm

I have been contacted by Phil and we're suggesting an informal meet here at the CFHC on Friday 14th.

West Coast residents - Phil, Van, Mikey, Geoff and Brian are in a PM loop to confirm date and details.

However we would warmly welcome any other CGT friends who could make it to the Charente around that time! Peter / Carl is it too far for you?

Please PM me if you are able to come along or suggest an alternative date that you can make!

It is unlikely but not impossible that I could turn up.

I will have to carefully investigate the logistics of it and I will let you know but thanks for the invitation.

Unfortunately after due logistic consideration and serious domestic threats I shall reluctantly not be able to attend.

I hope you have a great weekend and I'm delighted that these meets are taking place.
Photos are an obligation though.

Hello,

Got the TGV just in time Smile have to go back home now

It was a very good day, spending most of the time playing with trains.
Just had to stop for Pierre enjoying the swimming pool and for a very nice lunch.

We had a very sunny day, really warm.

Photos will follow soon.

yes Carl you will see some, we were already outside when you post this morning.

.
Many thanks to Brian and Caroline for hosting a cracking day.The only downside (to me anyway) was the weather,it was just to hot to be running steamys.
My newly aquired unrun LYN ran superb on her first track test, having had her first steam up on rollers the evening before. Also ran the Lawley and grandson did a few circuits with my diesel Kof.
All in all a fantastic day.
Roll on Monday the 23rd.

Finally tidied up and completed the usual horse poo picking chores in the field sop here are a few pics...

Laurent's TGV pulls into Angouleme Friday evening

Pierre and Laurent's luggage comprises a trolley full of LGB (I think the shady looking character behind is their bodygaurd)

Up early Saturday morning we test Laurent's new draisine

It doesn't like the analogue feed from MTS so we rig a temporary feed.
It's a superbly detailed little model...
