I always thought that this was a neat idea - I saw one on the Blanc Argent years ago:



They were used on the Vivarais system:



Unlike US logging lines, the wagons were ususally properly coupled (i.e, not with a bar between).

So: take two LGB Toytrain flat trucks bought long ago on Ebay (one was yellow and labled DR - not prototypical, I fear: (although they looked identical, viewers of the other channel might like to know that one was made in China, the other in Germany); take the bolsters off two LGB log carrier trucks; paint with grey and brown acrylic paint; Araldite bolsters to flat trucks; find suitable log from one of our trees and:



Goes round R1s and the curves that derailed Van's Lyn (including the reverse curve pointwork in my station).



So now I've really got a branch line.
